Timothy Skane, DDS

Timothy Skane, DDS, is an award-winning endodontist at Faith Cousins, DDS, in Silver Spring, Maryland. He specializes in treating dental emergencies and relieving toothache pain. Dr. Skane has been recognized by his peers for eight years in a row as the Best of Baltimore in Baltimore Magazine. His patient treatment philosophy is based on hard work, honesty, and caring for the needs of others.

A lifelong resident of Maryland, Dr. Skane earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland in College Park before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He decided to further his education and completed an endodontic residency program at the University of Maryland. 

Dr. Skane shares his knowledge and expertise as an assistant clinical professor at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, teaching undergraduate dental students and postgraduate endodontic residents how to perform state-of-the-art endodontic treatments. He also presents at national meetings and international continuing education seminars. He believes continual learning is necessary to provide optimal patient care.

Dr. Skane is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Baltimore City Dental Society, where he serves on the board of directors. He’s also a founding member of the International Academy of Endodontics.
